So you’re a writer who just landed a white paper. Or a B2B marketer doing your first one.
Congratulations! Now what??
After all, it takes most people years of study and practice before they can write effective white papers.
If you need some help starting—or perhaps finishing—a white paper, you may benefit from some cost-effective coaching.
That’s where I come in
I’m a B2B copywriter who’s won 14 writing awards and taught at two universities.
I’ve given in-house training at Cisco, Ericsson and Sprint, among many others.
And I “wrote the book” on white papers, the well-reviewed White Papers For Dummies.
Now I’m ready to be your personal copywriting coach.
You can save years of struggling
When you engage me as a coach, I can:
- Reveal my time-tested process for planning, creating, reviewing and designing white papers
- Guide you step-by-step through your white paper
- Provide generous comments on your drafts
- Help you learn effective page formatting
- Answer all your questions by phone or e-mail
- Share tips and tactics that took years to learn
- Point out the common pitfalls that trap many beginners
- Best of all, set you on the path to success in writing white papers… or any other B2B content
What people say about my coaching

—Simon Rudge, B2B copywriter, London UK

“You are a true gem. I can’t thank you enough.”
—Jill Kersey, B2B copywriter, San Francisco area

White papers or any other B2B content
I’m best known for writing white papers. But over the years, I’ve also written hundreds of:
- Blog posts
- Case studies
- Press releases
- Slide decks
So I can help you with any of those projects too.
My coaching is flexible
My goal is to help you succeed at writing your current piece of B2B content. Whatever that takes.
When we work together, we can talk on the phone, Skype, or exchange e-mails. Your choice. I’m available for coaching in the afternoon Eastern time, mornings Pacific time.
I can send you links and resources I’ve come across that match what you need.
If you need it, I can give you my best advice on managing your clients, or dealing with the crazy twists that any large copywriting project can take.
Best of all, I can read and comment on your drafts. That means I can be your “secret weapon” who helps you turn a so-so draft into something that makes your client go “wow!”
My fees are a la carte
My coaching rate is $150 an hour.
You can pay by the hour, or you can block out chunks of my time and save a little as you go. We can use PayPal, so I never need to ask for your credit card.
Here’s the deal:
- 1 hour is $150
- 2 hours is $270 (you save 10%)
- 4 hours is $500 (you save 15%)
What can we get done in an hour?
If you simply need some help planning a copywriting project, some advice on a client dilemma, or a review of your website, an hour should be fine.
If you need me to read an 8-page draft white paper and give you my high-level comments, we’re looking at 2 hours.
And for a more detailed review with copy-editing comments, that’s more like 4 hours.
My coaching isn’t for everyone
I only coach those who I feel have the writing experience and commitment to benefit from my time.
Building your freelance business is not my focus. If you want to ask me about that, I will likely point you to the fabulous resources that already exist in books and workshops.
When you’re ready to discuss what you need from a copywriting coach, drop me an e-mail. We can set up a time to talk in person, and see if we’re a good fit.
